Decades of wowing families, editors, and participants

Being a photographer is an awesome profession

As a photojournalist you never know what your day will be like so I am ready for almost any assignment. Sports, news, and environmental portrait assignments for newspapers and the Associated Press, often revolving around Indiana University, carried me through college and beyond. In 2001 I left Bloomington and moved to New York City. Newspaper assignments have become less frequent so lately I've been more enterprising in my range of work in front of and behind the camera.

Documenting the experiences kids have in school taps into my broad skills and the images are great way to build community among the families. Making images of the big days in the life of a family, and more private moments is another focus of my work. Scheduling a session for formal and casual images worthy of framing and displaying around your home is a great compliment to the images I encourage everyone to make. Our kids grow up too fast to rely on selfies and school photos. For editors and families alike, my experience in television production guides me to tell stories with a range of still images from any assignment so you'll have options for multimedia and print applications. I can also provide video coverage.
