Indiana Football's stunning run to the CFP Championship ended in perfect fashion, on the shoulders of dramatic plays by Fernando Mendoza and Jamari Sharpe. I was able to make these trips thanks to the help of amazing IU fans and to show my appreciation I've spent hours compiling a commemorative book with more than 300 images on 182 pages. It's a great way to relive the moments of these monumental games, and unlike the shifting algorithms of social media you're in total control.
My name is Garrett Ewald. I have photographed IU for the better part of 40 years for the IDS, AP, Inside Indiana, The Crimson Review, IU Athletics and more.
When IU came east this season to play Maryland and Penn State I was on the sideline and I could tell something magical was happening. I found a way back for the Big Ten Championship, and The Heisman Trophy event was a subway ride away, but the CFP games were going to be a challenge. The days of a publication footing the bill to send me to each of the CFP games are a distant memory.
So I developed a crowdfunding model in search of IU Football fans interested in a unique experience.
My goal is to give you a taste of the games from the sidelines and behind the scenes that will add to your experience if you were at the games, or just watched from home.
All for about the price of one game ticket.
This isn’t my first experience producing a book of memorable photos of IU Athletics. I created and published The Crimson Review in 1994-95, worked on the Arbutus yearbook as a student, and worked on other book projects over the years.
For your investment in the project you will receive a hard cover book with photos from this historic season. Maryland and Penn State, the Big Ten Championship, the Heisman Trophy Ceremony in New York, and all the CFP games during IU’s run for the championship. The photos and number of games played pushed the page count up from 140 to 182, making it almost an inch thick.

Limited spots available
Now that the book is ready I'm shifting attention to developing a book to publish, but your support is still greatly appreciated. My goal is to stop around 50 backers so I can cover all the expenses and time associated with this project, and if all goes well I hope to be able to get you a copy of the published book too.

FAQ
Limited availability
My goal is to line up 35-50 people for this project. Partly because the bonus box will get harder to do beyond that.
See my work during the game
I'll be posting images during the game in a private gallery you will have access to. The only hitch might be Internet service on the field. 80,000 people can clog up cell networks.
How do we commit
Use the "Click to back the project" link above to pay online for the first installment for the full experience. If you join after the Rose Bowl the total project cost will be higher.
Access you can't get if you attend the game
A trip for two will run in the thousands, and your seat may be far from the field. The view from the sideline, press conferences, and practice sessions is unique. I will give you a behind the scenes experience (don't worry, the locker room is off limits).
Acknowledging your role
If you're interested I can plan to acknowledge your support of the project in the book. You might even be able to write it off as a business expense.

What Images might be included
In addition to the OSU game I also photographed Penn State and Maryland. Depending how far into the championships they go I may include these and other games in the book.
Who is LMNTARYimages?
I have owned the iuphotos.com for many years, but my primary work in the New York City area is under the brand LMNTARYimages. It reflects my work developing an approach to community building with photography for schools.
